Run By Numbers

Start with your team

Let’s get started.

Four quick questions and you’re on the list for December 1, when the app opens. Shorter than a warm-up, and you don’t have to jog it.

Ideally the Google account you’ll sign in with.

What do you coach?

We’ll email you about getting started with Run By Numbers, and now and then about what’s new. Not many, and every one has an unsubscribe link, so you can stop them any time.

Next stop is the sign-in page. Nobody will ask you to hop on a quick call. What we do with this

Not ready yet? Fair. Look around first

What happens next

Your first practice, start to finish.

Once you sign in, your dashboard has a short checklist called “Get your team going.” It walks you through one real practice with your own team, and each step checks itself off as you go.

  1. Four quick questions You are here

    This form.

  2. Sign in to the app

It opens December 1, 2026. Sign in that day and the checklist is waiting on your dashboard.

  3. Before practice
  4. 1

    Set up your season

Pick start and championship dates that cover this week, so today’s practice falls inside the season.

  5. 2

    Add your athletes

Start with the athletes you’ll coach this week. You can add the rest any time.

  6. 3

Give your athletes an anchor (their 1600m time)

Every target split comes from the anchor. A recent race or time trial works.

  7. 4

Invite your athletes to the app

Athletes join on their own time.

  8. 5

    Build a workout

See everyone’s target splits and print the sheet.

  9. 6

Push the workout and request a check-in

Athletes see the workout on their phones and tell you how they feel before practice.

  10. After practice
  11. 7

After practice, enter results and request RPE

Type in their splits (or mark who finished an easy run), then ask how hard it felt.

  12. 8

    See how the workout went

How they ran, next to what they told you about it.

  13. Finish

One real practice, with every runner’s targets. You don’t need a season of data first.
